Da Fiore is prestigious restaurant that offers a high-class local cuisine in exclusive refined interior. It used to be an old tavern in the past. Thanks to the efforts of Mara and Maurizio Martin who acquired the spot 35 years ago, it became an elegant and famous venue.

The family of Martin is from Mirano, a little town near Venice. Their grandmother was an eccentric chef who was invited to posh celebrations and banquets, and Mara helped her there as apprentice. In this way, she learned many secrets from her. The grandmother’s lessons and Mara’s talent became the basis for future success of the restaurant. Maurizio succeeded in creation of hospitable atmosphere at the place. Their son Damiano also contributed to the development of the venue. Their passion and joined efforts brought great results.

The talent of Mara Martin received international recognition when she earned a Michelin star. She follows Italian tradition and is very creative at the same time. Mara’s recipes and cooking methods are unique.

The visitors feel relaxed at the place. An interesting menu is offered to them. The guests willingly obey the dress-code. It is not allowed to wear shorts and sleeveless clothes in the restaurant. Nobody minds a casual outfit.  Da Fiore has ideal reputation and Michelin star only confirms it.

The restaurant is famous, first of all, for fried seafood with vegetables. The tables with white cloths in the dining room create a formal look. The place is often packed. When tourist season is on, it is better to make reservation in advance.

The food is divine and the service is impeccable. Try Caprese – cherry tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella with basil and olive oil. The interior features simple décor, and traditional Venetian cuisine with a modern take. Prix-fixe luncheon menus cost from €50, prix-fixe dinner menu costs about €80.

The day of Mara starts in the kitchen where she cooks bread. Mara says that this is a meditation moment for her that gives her concentration, relaxation and power for the whole day.
