Melisse is a two Michelin star restaurant that is visited for special occasions. There are places that should not be visited on a daily basis even if you can afford this. This is Melisse – an elegant and mature restaurant with serious approach to cooking. White cloths against deep purple tablecloths create romantic vibe around the place. Melisse has a great wine list, in which you can select the topnotch wine to your meal.

The service is impeccable. It may seem expensive to dine in Melisse but every dollar spent on meal here is worth it. The chef and the owner of the restaurant is Josiah Citrin. It was rated one of the 40 best restaurants of the USA by Gayot. Zagat called it #1 in Los Angeles for many years. Forbes Travel Guide put the restaurant to the list of the finest 5-star properties of the world.

Melisse is known for luxury ambience, contemporary French cuisine and superb service. The restaurant has several menus you can order from. The customers can have a good four-course meal at $125.

There are special rooms (Olivia and Augustin Rooms) for private gatherings.

The owner of the restaurant tried to reach perfection in every aspect of this business and this brought the result: the restaurant received its stars. This is the spot that makes you dress perfectly for dinner.

This is a genuine luxury restaurant. The silver tableware is real in Melisse. High end tableware creates the feeling of premium dining experience. The restaurant features strict French haute couture. It may seem outdated for some people. In the past presence of haute couture cuisine was necessary for weighty restaurants.

There are different options in Melisse. The high rollers can order truffle menu and multiple supplement that includes, for instance, Russian caviar.

The restaurant leaves unforgettable memories and the customers always try to return there. Every room has some interesting feature. Nice wood-burning fireplace in the Augustin Room, named so after Chef Josiah’s son, creates cozy atmosphere in the restaurant. The Olivia Room named after Chef Josiah’s daughter features an amazing glass ceiling. Melissa is superb in all respects.
