Rome Sparita is a small busy restaurant and pizzeria of Trastevere in the center of Rome. It is located far from the crowd and traffic. This is a family restaurant managed by the same owner for 10 years already.
Rome Sparita overlooks Piazza di Santa Cecilia. There is plenty of outdoor seating in a quite Piazza and some seats inside. About 90 people can be served simultaneously. The restaurant can accommodate 60 people outside and 20-25 people in the room. The prices are not expensive in Rome Sparita and visitors are served well.
The selection of dishes is extensive: from the classic Roman cuisine to regional dishes, which are hard to find in some other restaurant in Rome. The meal begins with olive all’ascolana, a typical dish of the province of Ascoli Piceno, famous in Italy now. This dish is a kind of stuffed olives and serves as an appetizer. It is hard to resist this appetizer even when you know that pasta or pizza is on the way.
There are different kinds of pizza in the restaurant. You may love:
- Ricotta salata with grated ricotta cheese on top
- Alla norma, which is Sicilian pizza with basil and eggplant
The visitors also like tagliolini al cacio e pepe, traditional Roman pasta dish.
The place deserves every accolade for serving rustic, simple and delicious meals.
The prices are quite low for the quality food served in the restaurant even if you buy a bottle of Sardinian wine to your meal. The bill starts from 20 euro.
It is not surprising that the venue became very popular even abroad and many tourists tried to find the venue when they travelled to Rome. Some visitors consider that the quality became lower with popularity and it’s not as splendid as it was before. You can test yourself if you happen to be in Rome.
