Maggie Jones is a nice, small restaurant in Kensington, London. The restaurant has been serving its customers for over 40 years already. It has a traditional rustic vibe and specializes on traditional English and European food. It is located in cul-de-sac between two streets: Kensington Church Street and Kensington High Street, not far from the Kensington Palace. The place is justly liked by the locals.

This is the place where you can feel warm and cozy atmosphere. Rough and simple décor is accentuated in this venue. The lovers of country style will love it! Everything is made of wood: floor, benches and tables. It seems that items decorating the walls were brought from the flea-market and just hanged casually around. You can see baskets with dry herbs and flowers, old lamps, brick walls, ancient devices and many antiques. The antiques create the ambience of the old country inn. Just as in the past, the baskets hang from the ceiling. As if time machine took us back to England of Cromwell’s period.

The country style simple tableware is hanging from the shelves. Dry flowers, branches and incredible things, the meaning of which are not even known to modern people, decorate the rooms where you can have a glass of wine with your friend and try tasty unpretentious dishes. The portions are generous and the price is fair. The menu offers grilled seabream, salmon and calf liver, roast lamb, potted shrimps, prawn cocktail. The wine list includes a selection of good champagnes, rose and red wines, white wines from different regions (White Burgundy, Loire Valley, New World). There are about 100 labels in the list. You can buy the whole bottle/a half, or buy wine in glasses. It is a good opportunity to try different wines without spending much money.

If you’ve never been to the farm house, where you’ll be treated with nice dishes, this is a good chance to do it. Catering for private events up to 24 guests is available.
