Locanda Cipriani is a charming restaurant of Cipriani family. The founder of the venue of Giuseppe Cipriani, who also founded Harry’s Bar and Hotel Cipriani in Venice. It is also one of the best in its segment. Giuseppe also owns an oil and a wine shop, which was transformed into a restaurant with guestrooms surrounded by flower garden and incredible view of Torcello churches. Torcello is a small island in the ownership of Cipriani family. Many knowledgeable gourmets arrive here for dinner only.

The restaurant is elegant and beautiful. It is surrounded with fresh flowers.

The Locanda is even known as a literary legend. This is the place where Ernest Hemingway created Across the River and Through the Trees‘. Big portions of the novel were devoted to description of Torcello. Therefore the Locanda is referred to the exclusive destinations, which is visited by stars and celebs.

Now the grandson of founder, Bonifacio Brass is the owner and manager of the venue. The place is ideal for events. The team of specialists offers floral decorations, musical entertainment, photographer, and even such services as baby sitting and dog sitting.

The restaurant presents dishes of international cuisine and excellent service. Every customer is served perfectly. The army of waiters is going to answer any demand on the veranda with green leaves.

The recommended dishes are risotto alla primavera, prawn-filled courgette flowers, grilled fish, Venetian-style calf’s liver. There are innovative dishes, which were invented here such as Bellini. The price is 10 euros, when prosecco is mixed with peach juice. With time, it became one of the most popular dishes in Italy. In other worlds, this dining venue affected the dining scene and restaurant culture of the region.

Guiseppe Cipriani also invented new dish Carpaccio. Lunch and dinner cost about €70.
